Le Topographe 2014
National Exhibition Centre , Jonquière, Quebec, Canada — Video projections on tarlatan and paper forms — H. 230 to 280 cm x L. 230 to 380 cm x D. 5 to 30 cm.
In a dark space, a seedling of islets on which waves, eddies, water flows in motion are projected. Oculi sculpt the contours and give a feeling of distance, a kind of aerial view where images of water decompose, slide into the folds. Like the cartographer, the spectator is at the center of the representation, invited to move in this geopoetic space.
In silence, the constant ebb and flow of waves…
… water slide between folds, decompose into shade and light.
