“A blood-red sea continually pours and reverses its waves full of swell; swirls and whirlpools unleash the furious waves whose fallout soon forms this moving landscape of which the imagination dreamed. The photomontages that Michelle Héon makes from her sea video photos, stick to the high windows of the building - formerly hospital: a maternity, I was told.
At first sight, everything is played out here on the surface: the changing states of the sea, the shimmering reflections of the coloured façades, the openings of blue water; the colour plans seem to overlap as in the old stained glass windows that might have been known by the walls that welcome us today. Surfaces? Surfaces? Perhaps, but then it would be necessary to tell all the substance of which they are woven, to recount the infinite metamorphoses by which these untamed forms could pass before continuing under our eyes their convulsive sling… There, so many damned would have run aground, others more rare, could have dreamed their eternity there so much the destiny of the sky is sealed here, down in these few clear bodies of water that limit the fate of it. But from these chords of red, pink, blue, yellow colors, these moving brown materials let the images emerge…”
