“At the center of Michelle Héon’s installation, small boats. No soul lives in these fragile boats; it would be a question of saving appearances because here the story unfolds in lightness.

Harmless waves at the moment, furious lapping of the tides, broken archipelagos, boats stranded along the reefs, the work of Michelle Héon is inexhaustibly inspired by the marine element. The artist has been inviting us to his imaginary destinations for a long time.

In Sabadell, the various projections of images and light, the sculptures of tarlatan and paper are transformed into so many unaffordable shores beset by swells and also in this graceful theory of small boats on the water… Arranged by the hundreds, Michelle Héon’s delicate boats gently challenge our dreams with their reality.”
