Yakutsk’ Vessel 2012

Installed on the esplanade of the Sakha Theatre, the Yakustk’s Vessel is linked with the play, played in winter 2012, on the deportation of entire populations of Yakut villages to the shores of the Arctic Ocean.

The tragedy of this deportation is evoked in the installation-projection Okean. Small paper boats submerged by the waves resist; immersive sound events accentuate the dramatic tension of the installation.
